What to expect in Private Prenatal Yoga Sessions: Whether you are a new yogi or have been practicing yoga before your pregnancy, private Prenatal Yoga is great to practice while you are pregnant. Private sessions are tailored for your pregnancy - your trimester, your energy, and any injuries or conditions, either pre-existing or appearing during your pregnancy. Sessions may be in a flow-style of yoga, meaning that we connect breath and movement and flow through poses. Private sessions may also be completely restorative and gentle, depending on your energy level on a particular day. The idea is that your private yoga sessions are fluid to fit your pregnancy.
Poses are designed to strengthen the body in preparation for birth as well as focusing on poses that help alleviate common pregnancy discomforts such as lower back pain, headaches, shortness of breath, swelling in ankles, and fatigue.
Modifications for pregnancy will be given, such as the use of blocks, straps, and blankets to allow you to fully enjoy poses while making them accessible (props will be provided).
