Yoga For the Pelvic Floor
In this 5-week online yoga series for women, we’ll delve deeper into the role the pelvic floor plays in our daily lives, moving beyond Kegels as a “one size fits all” pelvic floor strengthening solution.
We’ll learn about the anatomy of the female pelvis including the muscles of pelvic floor and the role they play in our daily lives. Focusing on breath and posture, we’ll incorporate yoga poses (asana), breath work (pranayama), and meditation to create a practical practice to discover and support the pelvic floor.
All levels are welcome for the series. Pre and Postnatal people welcome as well as any person with female anatomy who is interested in learning more about the benefits of a pelvic floor yoga practice.
- Suffer from incontinence
- Have given birth
- Deal with prolapse
- Experience discomfort in the pelvis during intercourse or menstruation
- Have gone through menopause or who are going through menopause
- Or just want to learn more about the pelvic floor and the benefits of a pelvic floor yoga practice
