Jenni Brandon (b. 1977) is an award-winning composer, conductor, Registered Yoga Teacher (e-RYT 500) and a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) through Yoga Alliance. She received her 500-hour training at Kava Yoga in Long Beach, California with Cindy Zackney and Andrea Morgan. In the summer of 2013 she received her prenatal Vinyasa flow yoga certificate studying with Jennifer More. In keeping with her passion for women’s health, she completed a 20+ hour teacher training and certification program for Pelvic Floor Yoga with Leslie Howard in 2017. Jenni teaches Hatha, Flow, Gentle Restorative, pelvic floor, and Prenatal Yoga.
Jenni’s love of conducting, performing, and writing music as well as practicing and teaching yoga has led her to seek out ways to combine the benefits of yoga with the art of making music. When she is not on her mat, her music is being commissioned and performed around the world including in venues such as Zankel Hall in Carnegie Hall. Jenni makes guest appearances to conduct her works and other works with ensembles around the country, leading choirs and performances of operas. As a performer, she has sung with the Boston Pops, Pacific Chorale, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and at the Hollywood Bowl. Her music can be heard on recordings on the Delos, Albany, Longhorn, MRS Classics and Centaur labels. Simon Brandon is an RYT-500 with Yoga Alliance. He completed his 200 and 300-hour training at Kava Yoga, and enjoys bringing the benefits of yoga to students across Long Beach. When he’s not on the mat, Simon manages healthcare IT solutions throughout Southern California.
